Choose your best-fit course.

We have a wide range of courses on offer, ranging from five-day programmes for novice operators on many types of equipment, through to Health and Safety, Risk Assessment and Fire Safety seminars. Whatever your requirements, there is something within our catalogue to suit. Where your needs are a little more specific, we are more than willing to talk to you and tailor our standard courses to fit.
We work closely with the Association of Industrial Truck Trainers and all of our equipment courses are fully acredited, available for most types of equipment, including Bendi/Pivot-Steer, Counterbalance, Reach and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA).

Three and five-day Basic Operator's Courses

The Basic Operator's course is designed for complete novices, with little or no warehouse and industrial equipment experience. The course aims to introduce the operator to basic warehouse rules and safety as well as giving them the raw skills needed to drive the subject equipment. The course culminates in an ABF2000 standard test, the successful completion of which provides a certificate and licence for the relevant equipment.
The course can be run over five days for up to three operators or over three days on a one-to-one basis.

Two-day Conversion Courses

For drivers with verifiable experience (i.e. a recognised licence) on most types of industrial equipment, the Two-day Conversion Course will cross-train them in driving a different type. This is our most popular course, with many thousands of reach and counterbalance drivers now also holding Bendi operators licences. As with the Basic Course, the Conversion Course culminates in an ABF2000 standard test, the successful completion of which provides a certificate and licence for the relevant equipment.
The course can be run over two days for up to three operators or over a single day on a one-to-one basis.

Refresher and Test

Current Health and Safety approved code of practice recommends regular re-assessment of operators, to ensure that current operation and safety standards are being met. The course covers a workshop-like assessment of current driving technique and culminates in an ABF2000 standard test, the successful completion of which re-issues a certificate and licence for the relevant equipment.
The course is usually run over a single day for up to three operators.

Instructor's Courses

To many organisations, an in-house Instructor is a most valuable asset. Bendi Driver Training can offer Instructor training from scratch or to upgrade an existing instructor with an additional equipment licence. Existing in-house Instructors can be fully trained on additional types of equipment (for instance adding a Bendi/Pivot-Steer licence) over a five-day course, for up to three delegates.

Non-equipment Courses

Fire Safety & Risk Assessment

Our Fire Safety and Risk Assessment courses enable managers and employees alike to manage all aspects of an organisations Fire Safety policy. The 1-day course covers all aspects of Fire Safety, from hazard identification, emergency exit routes, basic risk assessment and approved codes of practice. All delegates will recieve a handbook containing course notes and a certifcate of attendance.
This course can be run for up to five delegates over a single day.

Supervisor's Health and Safety Seminar

Recent regulatory changes have made it compulsory for managers and supervisors in charge of any operations that include any materials handling equipment to be aware of all safety aspects raised by such equipment. The seminar aims to equip delegates with the necessary knowledge to effectively manage their safety policies. All delegates will recieve a handbook containing course notes and a certifcate of attendance.
